WESTON LITTLE LEAGUE & SOFTBALL

Weston Softball aims to provide high quality, fast pitch softball programs for children in order to promote their development as softball players; their well-being; and simply to have fun. We introduce appropriate levels of competition as the children get older, but our program's emphasis remains on participation, skill development, well-being, and fun.

During the spring - our principal season - we offer programs for PreK through 8th grade, and during the summer and fell we offer programs for PreK through 14years. Most programs are open registration and, through the elementary and middle school years, we welcome girls who have never played before.

Instruction is primarily provided by parent coaches, supplemented with the selective use of professional coaching. All adult coaches must be CORI-checked annually. Coaches are expected to be models of supportive, positive coaching.

We try to very hard accommodate requests for friend or coach pairings, if noted in the registration form.

Girls are expected to have their own glove. Most girls bring their own helmet and bat (and, for older levels, fielder's mask). We do have some equipment at the field.

We take pride in our town's lovely softball fields and do our part to keep them in good shape.

All programs within Weston Little League and Softball are expected to cover direct costs and contribute to overhead. As we try to keep registration fees affordable, we rely on sponsorships and gifts to make ends meet - and to fund important "extras" like professional instruction.

Financial hardship should not prevent anyone from playing softball. Requests for fee waivers or reductions should be directed to the WLLS administrator.

Can't wait to see you all on the field!
