WESTON LITTLE LEAGUE & SOFTBALL

Zero Tolerance Policy

Listed below are a list of rules which will be enforced for this and future baseball and softball seasons.

  1. ABSOLUTELY NO INTERACTION BETWEEN PARENTS & UMPIRES

This rule is #1 for a reason. Confronting an umpire is embarrassing to both parents, and especially their children. Any parent yelling or badgering an umpire will result in that parent being asked to leave the park. If it happens a second time, both the parent and the child will be removed from the Weston Little League & Softball for the remainder of the season and will have to re-apply for the next season.

  2. PLEASE DON'T SHOUT ADVICE TO YOUR PLAYER DURING THE GAME

Shout encouragement? You bet! Positive reinforcement is always welcome. However, a steady stream of constructive suggestions or criticism has no value. Your tips may conflict with the coach's instruction. Even if you think the coach is wrong, contrary information can only hurt the team. Let the coach "coach" the team according to his/her plan and support it.

  3. PLEASE DON'T SHOUT AT THE OPPOSING TEAM

The players on the other teams are considered off limits. Yelling at another team player is a shameful tactic and it will be addressed immediately with removal from the park.

  4. IF YOU HAVE TO BE INVOLVED, BE INVOLVED IN A POSITIVE MANNER

Attend your child's games as often as you can. Cheer for all the players on his/her team. There are many ways to be a good team parent. Just because you're not coaching, helping to fundraise for WLL, volunteering at the Snack Shack, or just picking up trash after a game are great ways to be involved.
